Ashford Place keeping the faith with homelessness

Danny was a panellist at this week’s Faithaction Coffee House Homelessness zoom-together where people from all over the country met up to discuss what faith-based and community organisations are doing to prevent these vulnerable people from returning to a life of sleeping rough? As a member of the Brent Multi Faith Forum – BMFF - Danny reported on the very successful BMFF’s Homeless Winter Shelter initiative which the Ashford Place Housing team were very involved in as well as a range of innovative things our diverse Faith community are doing to support Brent residents during Covid-19.

The coronavirus has led to an unprecedented situation, with over 14,000 homeless people currently placed in emergency accommodation due to special government funding. However, with this funding due to end soon this meeting over zoom coffee was very useful in sharing ideas and discussing possibilities going forward.
