Dementia Café Coordinator - 3 year project, based at Ashford Place – 3 days per week 21 hours. £20,000 incl.
The Dementia Café – funded by City Bridge Trust– is a new and exciting initiative supporting local people who are living with dementia and their communities across the borough of Brent. Ashford Place in partnership with CAD-Brent want to design, build and sustain client centred dementia support programmes that assist people to stay in control of their lives and continue contributing to their local and wider community.
The idea for this programme emerged from the insights of a piece of ethnographic research called Living with Dementia in today’s community – Brent aiming to understand the experiences of people with memory loss living in Brent.
People living with memory loss in Brent told us they want to continue to live their lives in the community, contributing, learning and taking part in local activities.
We are looking for a coordinator to plan and deliver a network of Dementia cafes across the borough over a period of three years. The programme requires an energetic, passionate and can-do person to deliver this vision. If you are that person please apply.
