A GP for over 30 years and previously Chair of Brent CCG, the GP-led organisation responsible for planning and commissioning many of the health services for people living in Brent, Dr. Ethie Kong is part of the Ashford Place Health and Well Being Committee.
Mulan Foundation Network in 2017 awarded her for her contribution to healthcare and tackling health inequalities. In 2018, Dr Kong was celebrated and awarded by NHS London Leadership Academy for making a difference to the organisation she was leading and was recognised as an outstanding woman leader in the NHS. As a clinical tutor and educator, she is passionate about training and development of a health and care workforce to provide integrated accessible care and building sustainable healthier empowered community
