The Mezz - community dining

Welcome to our Mezz , a place where you can have a delicious lunch, drinks, treats, as well as spaces for socialising, relaxing, learning.

Ashford Place has a 5 star food hygiene rated community kitchen serving delicious homecooked 3 course meals from 12pm - 2pm Mon-Fri. We also have a small Side Door Café and Community Shop which connects to our secluded outdoor garden space and wellbeing area.

Three Course Lunch is served at a suggested contribution of £5 with a coffee or tea from 12pm - 2pm Mon-Fri..

You are invited to help us develop the Mezz as a creative, relaxing and imaginative space. We are all different and we can all bring different ideas on how we use our space. We want our Mezz to be a space where we can all develop our physical and mental wellbeing.

The Mezz is a setting for many of our social activities, please click here to see our Activities Programme. If there is something you want to do that is not on the list, let us know and we can help you set it up for the benefit of yourself and others. If there is an activity that you want to set up in the community then please let us know and we can help you with that too!

Lily says
“Ashford Place is like a home away from home. Coming here feels like a real Irish Kitchen. I was here the day it opened and have made many many good friends along the way”

The Mezz is for everyone - local residents, visitors, staff, volunteers and for our clients who may feel isolated by virtue of  homelessness, age related problems, having concerns about their mental health, have memory problems, being long term unemployed etc.

Our Mezz is all about good food and good company but also an opportunity to attend activities related to learning, social, health & wellbeing, personal development, art, music and more.

The kitchen funded by paying guests, in kind by food surplus distributors such as Fareshare, The Felix Project, City Harvest and by donations from schools, faith groups and individuals.
