The Galtymore, a famous Irish Ballyroom of romance in Cricklewood closed in 2008 after fifty six years as a popular dancing and entertainment venue among Irish exiles in London. It was the place to go for Irish emigrants who had made their way to London in search of work.
Now it is a building site with plans for a supermarket, flats and parking.
Our community is in constant flux with building developments everywhere you look, increased traffic on our roads with the resultant pollution. Our Cricklewood Town Team have many challenges ahead as it mobilises the wider community and local authorities to ensure a decent environment for all of us.
