This week the Dementia Peer Support group launched our Pop-up Friendship Shop. Some new faces, some regular faces, and Cllr: Tariq Dar (Brent Deputy Mayor) all joined in on the fun.
We had iced tea, jam tarts, writing messages for our Happiness Tree, and a whole lot of dancing to James Brown and Mungo Jerry. Everyone in the group also has the opportunity to share their week’s experiences, and anything they would like to share about their (or their loved one’s) current journey with memory issues or Dementia. We ended the morning with some much needed stretching by Kathy.
The Pop-up Friendship Shop is be open daily throughout September, from 10am to 1pm, for anyone affected by or living with memory issues.
