We had a very successful outing at this week’s Brent Health & Social Care Awards ceremony held at the Grand Hall in the Civic Centre, Wembley. Guest presenter Steve Hewlett, finalist from Britain's Got Talent got us all in the mood, a wonderful lunch was served and awards presented to the winners in the various categories. Ashford Place and CAD-Brent won awards in the following categories.
- The Team of the Year award went to the CAD-Brent dementia team
- The Health Inequalities award went to AP’s Healthier Together team
- Our two nominated two carers (caring for a family member living with dementia) won their category.
- Our nominated GP won in his category
- And the Volunteer of the year award – Catherine from St Johns de café. (dementia café)
The awards ceremony was a stunning event, a good time to recognise the generosity of staff from all the organisations, and unpaid carers and volunteers, and a huge thanks to the organising team who did such a brilliant job. Photos to follow.
