Belonging, creativity and recovery - Ashford Place's community in action

23.10.2026

Music, art, poetry and storytelling filled the Kiln Cinema as more than 200 people came together for Ashford Place’s Mental Health Music and Arts Festival. It was much more than an afternoon of entertainment, it was a joyful celebration of recovery, creativity and community—giving people a platform to share their talents, build confidence and be recognised for what they contribute.

For people living with severe mental ill health, dementia, learning disabilities or socially isolated,  staying well is about more than appointments. Throughout the year, Ashford Place offers welcoming spaces, trusted support and activities including music, art, exercise, shared meals and volunteering. These opportunities reduce loneliness, provide routine, build friendships and help every person feel valued, connected and part of a community—not defined by a diagnosis.

Thank you to Dept of Foreign Affairs (Ireland) Emigrant Support Fund, Rhatigans, Horizon Therapy rooms and Blerina Wellbeing for helping make this festival possible.

Help us deliver another Mental Health Music and Arts Festival possible and to sustain this vital year-round work. By donating, sponsoring or becoming a funding partner, you can help Ashford Place continue the everyday relationships, spaces and opportunities that support wellbeing, recovery and belonging.
