Danny and Debbie were lucky enough to attend the first ever Brent Social Care awards at the Civic Centre. Our lovely family carers Kawal Singh and Valerie Tyksinski were nominated for awards in the Unpaid Carers category, as they have been caring for their loved ones with dedication and compassion for many years. After a tense wait, both Kawal and Valerie were announced as winners and received their awards from Shaun Wallace, brent resident and star of The Chase. Both winners were ecstatic and had a fabulous afternoon enjoying the performances from the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, St Michael’s Steel Band and much more. Congratulations to our winners and all the amazing dementia carers in Brent.
