A Brent Charity Goes to Hampton Court: Championing Inclusion, Well-being, and Independence

01.05.2025

We are thrilled to announce that our dementia clients are lending their voices, insights, and experiences to the Communities Team at Hampton Court, contributing invaluable suggestions to the early planning of a community garden. More than just a green space, this garden represents a vision of connection, tranquillity, and inclusivity, where individuals of all backgrounds can come together, find peace, and foster a deeper sense of belonging.

This event is not just consultation—it is empowerment. It is a platform where people living with dementia and mild cognitive impairment (MCI) can co-design services and actively shape community projects. Their involvement reaffirms an essential truth: they are contributors, changemakers, and valued voices in society. Their perspectives enrich the way we build public spaces, ensuring that the garden truly reflects the diverse needs and aspirations of all who will enjoy it.

At Ashford Place , we advocate for these opportunities because we know that engagement fosters confidence, connection, and well-being. Being part of initiatives like this isn’t just about creating beautiful spaces—it’s about challenging assumptions, breaking down barriers, and proving that individuals living with dementia can and should play active roles in shaping their communities.

We are proud to support this collaboration and look forward to seeing the positive impact it creates—for our clients, for Hampton Court, and for the broader Brent community. Because when people feel valued and valuable, communities flourish, and lives are transformed. We are grateful to  for investing in our project.
