Changing conversations about mental health

13.10.2022

The www.shout.london Ashford Place Mental Health Film & Arts festival finished this week to great applause from audiences and performers alike, all saying that the festival must continue to ensure that we, the public, steer the conversation to a space where mental health is openly spoken about, where people with mental health challenges are supported, where bias and stereotyping is banished and where 'it's ok not to be ok'.  We have had an amazing programme of films, stage performances, poetry, music and fireside chats, all of which generated energy and excitement to continue our ambition to change and re-energise conversations around mental health, particularly in film and arts.  Festival Patron and star of stage and screen Michelle Collins said she was delighted to support this important festival and wants to see it reach new audiences across the county.  Ashford Place is already planning the next festival so watch this space and contact [email protected] for more information.
