Dramatherapist Soirse joins the team at Ashford Place. She will be working on our Keep Well Project and offering dramatherapy every Tuesday. Dramatherapy is another type of therapy that doesn’t just involve talking, but also uses drama, stories, movement, art and play to help people explore their emotions. Dramatherapy can help people learn about themselves and others, build relationships and perhaps find new ways of expressing their feelings. A dramatherapy session is a creative space to explore yourself in a safe and confidential manner.
We will be starting a dramatherapy group for carers in the coming weeks. There are also one-to-one appointments for short-term dramatherapy available. If you are interested or know anyone who might be, please email [email protected] or call 020 8208 8590 option: 1. There are limited appointments and in the event of several people reaching out, we will operate a waiting list. Those who are not offered dramatherapy, will still be offered support from our Keep Well team with any issues they might be dealing with right now.
Since February, Soirse has provided dramatherapy for twelve clients at Ashford Place and many of shared that they greatly benefited from the Dramatherapy sessions. If you have any questions about dramatherapy at Ashford Place, please reach out!
