Our film ’Shared Memories of Immigration’ was premiered last week in front of an audience of funders, commentators, actors and residents.
Funded by Brent Museum & Archives Heritage Wellbeing Fund, and created by Dominique Mireille Alice the film explores the memories of people who immigrated to NW London from the Caribbean and Ireland and how they found support from each other in what was often an unwelcoming environment. Here at Ashford Place we are proud of our focus on bringing people from many backgrounds together in the spirit of mutual support, learning from each other and together creating a happier community.
