Ashford Place and CAD-Brent – Community Action on Dementia Brent – were delighted to support a ‘World Alzheimer’s Month 2023’ event this week where the theme was ‘Never too early never too late’. There was an excellent turn out of people living with dementia, Carers, service providers and local residents. The event was made even more successful with the generous offer from The Wembley Friendship Centre, Wembley Park Drive, whose volunteers and accessible, high quality space made for a wonderful day. A mixture of presentations from service providers, examples of exercises and activities as well as testimonies from Carers all ensured an informative productive event and certainly made all of us very aware that it is never too late to start getting fitter, eat well, pursue intellectual pursuits, and develop a lifestyle that keeps us healthy and well.
The event was organised by CNWL's Brent Memory Services in partnership with Brent Health Matters and Community Action on Dementia Brent.
