We had a wonderful wellbeing day-out at the zoo this week with 20 of our members enjoying the journey, the sun and of course the wonderful world that is the London Zoo. Read here thoughts from one of the group.
"We met at Ashford Place and caught the tube to Regents Park and the 88 bus to to London Zoo. There is was a queue of excited school groups. The children roared like tigers as the tiger basked in the sun oblivious to everyone. The barrier reef with lots of different coloured fish swimming around was next to the ant hive with 100's of ants milling around. The big Iguana looked imposing looking behind the glass. The penguins were swimming and splashing about and eating fish in their big pool. You could buy a cup of tea at The Penguin Cafe and say Hi to people you know on the outing to the Zoo. The big Gorilla would have liked a banana but of course people are not allowed to give food to the animals."
