Ashford Place's first medal of the year! The AP Quartet put in a storming performance to earn its first bronze (3rd place) medal of the year at the recent Brent Mental Health Games delivered by Silver Jubilee Park (Charitable) Foundation. After a sluggish start the team managed to improve on its recent placings and were excellent given the strong competition. Greg, an experienced team player said, "We thought it might be possible to win a medal today, but we knew we were going to have a really good day and thankfully we pulled it together and got it done.’ Teams came from Park Royal hospital wards, community groups and Silver Jubilee Park. Robert Morris said ‘ we have been planning the MH Games for some time and hoped to hold it outdoors but given the weather conditions we decided to take it in-house which proved very successful. We want to encourage all residents with mental health challenges to keep fit and well and the Games is one way of doing this.
