Some of our clients may find it difficult now and then to make the journey to Ashford Place so in these cases we will go to them! We are very fortunate to have one of our VIP’s, William (Bill) live around the corner from us as this makes it very easy for us to pop around for a cup of tea and a chat. It does the soul good to listen to Bill recite poetry he has stored in his mind for many years. He is a big Thomas Moore fan so the Befriending Team will always happily pop down and sit with Bill and either read Thomas Moore poetry to him or listen to Bill recite it to us. We look forward to sitting with Bill again one day soon for another verse of ‘Tis The Last Rose of Summer’ or one of Bill’s favourites ‘The Meeting of The Waters’. On leaving Bill’s house, he very often will stop, look at you with his cheeky look and recite a hilarious Limerick leaving him both him and the Befriending Team in tears of laughter! A way to brighten anyone’s day! Thank you Bill!
