This past weekend saw the return of London’s annual Irish music festival devoted to traditional music, song and dance to Cricklewood. The best of Irish music players and teachers used the entire Ashford Place building to run a series of world class music and singing workshops enabled by Irish Music and Dance in London (IMDL) and with the support of the Irish Government.
Our Side Door Café, mezzanine and garden allowed participants, organisers and tutors alike to enjoy a beverage or snack and provided a welcoming space for them to chat and wait for the event to begin.
We are thankful to Karen Ryan of Irish Music and Dance London for choosing to work with us here at Ashford Place and it is always a pleasure for us to collaborate on an event with a fellow organisation receiving support from the Irish Government’s Emigrant Support Program.
This twenty fourth festival was as successful as ever and we look forward to continuing to support the playing of traditional Irish music in London in years to come.
