This week we were delighted to welcome Sandy to talk to us about all things safeguarding in Brent and focused on both adult and child safeguarding. We heard about what MECC is – Making Every Contact Count - and how it fits into a broader Public Health; the importance of understanding ACEs – adverse childhood experiences -; what to do if you have a safeguarding concern, all followed by an animated and thought provoking conversation. We are delighted to have had this hybrid training session which will be followed by other training topics for staff to help us all deliver better outcomes with our clients. Thanks to Sandy who is the Make Every Contact Count Officer, from the Performance, Insight and Improvement Team, Brent Council - Community Wellbeing Department.
