Over 70 people took part in our St Patrick’s Day celebration event last Friday. St Patrick’s day celebrations are a highlight of the year for the Irish in Cricklewood and we are delighted to be able to add to the craic!
We were ably assisted by Shauna, Steve and Jack from our volunteer partners, Careys Foundation to provide a day of entertainment and good food. Music was provided by Caitlin and Rachel of new trad band Cruagh who we know well from the Return to London Town Festival which we help host each October for the last few years. They delighted the audience with wonderful music which had people holding out for more and encouraged some beautiful singing from our guests. Thank you to Aoife and team from JJ Rhatigans and O’Farrells butchers for ensuring we had the best quality ingredients for our event and to Dermot and Christine from Churchill near Fenit, Co Kerry who sent in the questions and more importantly the answers to our table quiz with the winning team “Cricklewood Geniuses” romping home with the highest score of 58/80!
