Art for dementia sake

29.01.2021

Members of the Dementia Peer Support group have started weekly – digital -  art sessions with an art therapy trainee that will run until June. This is through a new collaboration between the Ben Uri Gallery and Ashford Place. The sessions take inspiration from the gallery collection and include making your own art. The sessions are online at the moment, once lockdown ends, they’ll be at Ashford Place. People involved so far are enjoying it – one client said ‘It’s giving my mum something to focus on and look forward to’

You can see the works at the Ben Uri gallery online here – the gallery has made works, lectures as well as worksheets available online.  Please get in touch if you’re interested email Sally on [email protected] or call the helpline 07904 202 517.
