At Ashford Place we are proud to support our clients who come from a wide variety of backgrounds include BAME e.g. Irish, Caribbean and Asian. Our charity and community is stronger for its diversity and we stand in solidarity with black communities everywhere. Covid-19 has highlighted ongoing racial inequalities in this country e.g. people from BAME communities are twice as likely to die from the virus than those from white communities. We are delighted to see the commitment and ambition of Brent Council where the Council Leader, Cllr Muhammed Butt has urged policymakers to examine why people from these communities have been affected so much and look at how this can be prevented in the future.
