My name is Debbie and I am the new Dementia Hub Project Manager and I am proud to have joined the Ashford Place team. I was born and brought up in Brent and it holds a special place in my heart, it feels like coming home! My role at Ashford Place, which is funded by the Big Lottery, will focus on establishing Dementia Hubs in Brent to offer specialist support for people living with dementia and their families. I will be working alongside the existing dementia services within a small Dementia Hub Team.
It's fair to say that I have joined Ashford Place at a challenging time, but the team are more than rising to the challenge and I have heard some very uplifting stories of kindness in the last few weeks. It is clear to me that the AP community is warm and welcoming and and I can't wait to meet everyone over a nice cup of tea!
