We enjoy a weekly Irish language group where participants of all levels come together to learn Irish (Gaeilge) from scratch or refresh the Irish they learned at school. This group is part of our wellbeing activities and aims to improve confidence by surprising ourselves by how we can learn something completely new or by recalling and using the Irish we already know. It is a fun and lively group and is open to anyone to join. We particularly enjoy when a real Gaelgoir pops in to join us.

Some of us completed the beginners Future Learn course a few years ago and Dublin City University’s free online Irish language course Irish 101: An Introduction to Irish Language and Culture will be available again from 9th March for four weeks. It is a good starting point.
