Last of the ‘summer’ walks

01.11.2021

Our dementia walking group's last 'summer' walk was at Kew Gardens last Friday. Like everything the journey to get there started with one step and walking amongst the trees as the leaves turn colour was relaxing. Walking together is also a good pace for conversation. We also visited the temperate house along with 'one thousand springs' by artist Chiharu Shiota,  a thousand red threads with haiku poetry attached, floating above our heads. It was part of Kew's Japan Festival. We will be going ‘indoors’ now for the rest of Autumn and Winter e.g. we will take a trip to the Museum of London and other wonderful spaces in London. To join in activities, or tell a friend living with dementia about us, get in touch.
