Our new Shared Memories of Immigration project aims to give residents living in Brent with memory loss an opportunity to contribute their valuable memories of settling in Brent to the wider richer culture of the borough. Focusing on Caribbean and Irish diaspora communities in London, the project will culminate in a short documentary.
Our filmmaker, Dominique, and project manager Declan will be out and about in Brent this month, filming interviews with some of our borough’s residents who came to London in the middle of the last century. Last week we hosted an inaugural photoshoot with the team at Brent Museum and Archives, with some of our first interviewees, as well as an informative trip to the archives themselves!
