Kindness and support when its needed

It’s so nice to start the working day with an email of thanks. The Dementia Hubs team have been supporting an unpaid carer who was finding navigating the social care system difficult and was ready to ‘give up’. After a spell in hospital, her husband was being discharged to a care home and this was not only a difficult decision emotionally for the client, but it was also proving challenging getting her voice heard with the professionals involved.  Our IAG - information, advice and guidance - team supported the client to empower her to get the right outcome for her family. 

She said:  

I’m so very grateful to you both as you were consistently kind and helpful during the difficult time. I managed to try without giving up, which enabled me - thanks to your support. I say “thank you” from the bottom of my heart.
