We were pleased to collaborate with the Kiln this week to put on the first ever dementia friendly cinema screening. The movie of choice was the old classic ‘Singing in the Rain’. Everyone enjoyed joining in with the songs and marvelling at the fabulous dancing of Gene Kelly and Deborah Reynolds. More than one person commented ‘they don’t make them like this anymore!’. The staff at the Kiln made everyone feel very welcome and provided refreshments after the film while they gathered feedback about the cinema experience. The kiln hope to schedule regular dementia friendly screenings for our community - a huge THANK YOU to the Kiln.
