Free health checks, scheduled health talks, information stalls, exercise sessions, entertainment and hospitality were all the rage this week at Ashford Place as we, with our health and welfare partners provided an opportunity for residents check up on their health and receive information on various health and welfare services. Over 160 individuals benefitted from our free health event. Many told us that this kind of event is very important as they do not always know what is available in the borough and if they do, they don’t always know how to access health and welfare services. Many suggested that we hold these events on a regular basis. We thank our many partners including Irish in Britain (who were co-hosting with us), Brent Health Matters, NHS Brent and of course our own brilliant staff and volunteers for an amazing day.
