Brent Holocaust Memorial Day 2022

10.01.2023

Every year, 27 January marks Holocaust Memorial Day. This is when people all across the world join together to remember the millions of people murdered during the Holocaust, under Nazi persecutions and in the genocides that followed in Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia and Darfur.

To mark the occasion Brent Council has prepared an evening of reflection to pay tribute.

The programme includes:

  • Special guest speaker Holocaust survivor Peter Summerfield BEM
  • Inspiring life stories
  • A performance by the London Cantorial Singers

The theme for this year's event is 'Ordinary People'. This theme highlights the ordinary people who were affected by genocides around the world and allows us to remember their stories. Reflecting on this theme, we can look at how we play a role in creating a fairer and more equal society in the future.

Please join us to honour the experiences of people affected by the Holocaust and genocides around the world. All are welcome to join at Brent Civic Centre on Thursday 26th January 2023. Doors will open from 6pm.

Please register at https://BrentHMD2023.eventbrite.co.uk and feel free to share with your colleagues, friends and family.

We really hope you can attend and mark this important day with us.
