Nana, Rayra and Danito are settling well into their 10 volunteering sessions with us. They attend on Wednesday afternoons and are a real hit with the regulars. It is great to see young and not so young play games, knit, paint and chat together. The volunteers are 6th form students from Cardinal Newman Catholic College in Harlesden. We are delighted that they feel comfortable enough to join us 30 mins before their session starts to add their voices to our Singing for Wellbeing session. They came in handy and improved our version of Stormzy’s Blinded by your Grace. We are benefitting from their commitment and know that they too are surprised and happy about what is involved and how they can help. We are already talking to them about volunteering with us after their summer exams. It is wonderful to have community support and to be chosen by these students as the place to complete their Enrichment Programme.
