This week our Shout.London programme celebrated its second annual mental health film & arts festival. The programme held each October, is a conversation and creative celebration about mental health. It has been created to give a voice to international filmmakers, artists, poets, musicians and performers. By engaging with artists, connecting with communities and forming collaborations, we celebrate the artistic achievements of people with experience of mental health issues. We explore the relationship between creativity and the mind with the aim of promoting positive mental health and wellbeing. More on this story next week with photos, highlights and stories from the festival. For now, a big thanks to Carey Fitzgerald, Chair of Ashford Place and festival organiser, the Ashford Place team, the wonderful performers, festival MC, Peter Curran, broadcaster, writer, audio producer and documentary maker, and partners including the Kiln theatre and Crown London hotel.
