This week, we are bursting with pride and joy as we celebrate our beloved friend and shining star, Lily Doyle, on her incredible 101st birthday!
Lily has been part of the Ashford Place family for many years, and we are honoured to have played a part in her amazing journey. From the friendships she has built here, to the support she’s received from our dedicated team, Lily is a living testament to the power of community, positivity, and connection.
Our Befriending Team had the absolute pleasure of visiting Lily at home this week, where she greeted them with the same radiant, youthful smile we all know and love. Over a warm cup of tea, she shared that she’s "never felt better" — and looking at her, we believe it!
When asked for her secret to a long and happy life, Lily simply said: “Keep positive, don’t worry, and keep smiling.” Lily doesn’t just say it — she lives it, every single day. The photo below says it all — Lily beaming with joy, showing us exactly how it’s done.
A proud Kerry woman, Lily continues to live independently and socialises like a pro, inspiring everyone around her. Ashford Place has been privileged to support Lily over the years, helping her stay connected, engaged, and surrounded by friendship.
