We had the pleasure of attending the @IrishMusicDanceLondon annual profile and fundraiser concert at The Crown Hotel (Ivy Suite), where we were treated to an unforgettable night of Irish music, song and dance. It was a truly wonderful evening, and it has us eagerly counting down to the full weekend of music in Cricklewood from 23rd–26th October, when our own building will once again be filled with music as we host their workshops throughout the festival.
The McCarthy Family were an absolute delight, sharing warm and funny stories of their London upbringing, their holiday trips home, and even a tale of first love that had one audience member blushing.
Andrew Caden, Conor McDonagh and Caoilte Morrison were astonishingly good musicians, earning a tremendous reception for what was their first gig outside London.
Na Stocai Bana enthralled us with their Sean Nos singing and invited everyone along to their term time session at the Colin Campbell in Kilburn on Wednesdays.
Chan Reid captivated the room with her remarkable voice—and even let us all feel like we were part of the band.
The Trad Gathering opened the evening in style, showcasing their talented young musicians and setting the tone for the night ahead.
And to finish, the Camden Set Dancers danced us right out the door with a fantastic display that wrapped up the event on a high.
A great night of music from start to finish—and a perfect warm‑up for the festival to come in October, when the building will once again come alive with tunes, steps and stories.
