Raunchy Rockers at the Kiln Theatre

03.07.2026

On Wednesday afternoon, Lola and Martha accompanied twenty-five member of our Raunchy Rockers group on a trip to the Kiln Theatre to watch Driftwood.

Set in Trinidad in 1956, Driftwood tells the story of a Trinidadian family who run the Alma, a private members' club in Port of Spain. Through their experiences, the play explores the impact of British colonialism and American economic interference on their lives.

The group thoroughly enjoyed the performance, with Seldom, the Port’s witty policeman, proving to be a firm favourite. His well-timed humour provided comic relief amongst the play’s thought-provoking themes.

The afternoon had everything a great theatre trip should: laughter, drama, moments of tension, and, of course, a well-earned tub of ice cream during the interval!

A huge thank you to the Kiln Theatre for generously providing community tickets and making this wonderful outing possible.
