Our Friday exercise and bingo guests benefited from an impromptu health check event, delivered by the Brent Public Health clinical team.
25 service users received vital health checks, medical advice and assistance with calling their GP to escalate concerns that were identified.
Most importantly, all of this took place in a trusted, familiar and welcoming environment, making it easier for those who might be reluctant or unable to see their GP to access important health support.
We look forward to welcoming the team back in October across multiple dates to deliver the NHS Autumn Covid Booster/Flu vaccination programme, as part of our ongoing PHSMI work.
