Womens Group - A Day Out at the Theatre: Community, Connection and Fun

02.10.2026

Yesterday, ten members of our Ashford Place community enjoyed a wonderful afternoon together, beginning with lunch at Rose's in Cricklewood before heading to the Kiln Theatre for a matinee performance of Table 17.

The afternoon was a lovely example of what social inclusion can look like in practice. Our group brought together people of different ages and backgrounds, including people living with memory challenges, carers and former carers. We were also a wonderfully international group, with people from Columbia, Domenica and Sudan. alongside two Irish sisters - a real reflection of the diversity of our community.

For some, an afternoon at the theatre might simply be an enjoyable day out. For others opportunities like this can provide something more: a chance to meet people, strengthen friendships, try something new and feel part of the wider community.

We are especially grateful to The Kiln Theatre for it's continued friendship and collaboration with Ashford Place .
