We have completed our first year of Singing for Wellbeing sessions aka Singing for the Craic. The aim of the singing sessions is to reduce isolation, forge friendships, increase confidence and have fun. We have learnt so much about members music tastes, memories that song choices evoke.
This term we were singing a selection of summery songs : Seasons in the Sun (Deborah’s favourite), Cecelia and Don’t worry be Happy (Laura’s favourite) Seasons in the Sun (Gregory’s favourite), all Kinds of Everything (Muriel’s favourite), I can see clearly now, You are my Sunshine, Tie a Yellow Ribbon and Raindrops keep Falling on my Head.
The group starts again on 4th September with eight new songs to perfect over eight weeks! Pop in and join us in the Side Door Café on Wednesdays at 1.30pm.
