Peer Support, Drop-in Workshops
This is a support group/workshop for people living with dementia to explore, identify and apply for practical support available to help them to live more independently in the community. Issues range from accessible transport to available tools to stay safe in and outside home. This is particularly helpful where carers/loved ones are not easily accessible or able to help
Claudia (Outreach Volunteer), Stalin and Hazel get together to tease out and word, how a ‘hidden’ disability makes people eligible for services like Dial-a-Ride, Taxicard and more...
De-cafe
Great session thanks to Charlene (our weekly dance tutor from DanceWest.). All got involved and one client described the session as ‘invigorating’. A big thank you to Careys Foundation volunteers Sangita and Sangita for rolling their sleeves up and getting involved!
