Doorstep Conversations at our front door...This morning we welcomed Nora and Rosie from Irish Elderly Advice Network and their film crew to our place today. IEAN are filming the lockdown stories of older Irish people in London. We invited IEAN to our front door to meet with us and some of our early risers!
Our Irish clients young, old and in between have been availing of our services for many years with little interuption in demand for information, advice and guidance during lockdown. We reopened our community cafe and Side Door cafe in September offering good food and company in a setting fully compliant with Covid guidelines. We have adapted our Friday group activities to allow our older Irish clients to meet but in a much more socially distanced way than pre Covid. This meant turning over all our spaces to small groups. We are delighted we can meet the demand within the community - reduction of isolation and good mental help are two of our charity goals.
We look forward to seeing IEAN's movie - hopefully we will be able to watch it all together in one space!
