I am sure we all know that compliance with GDPR - General Data Protection Regulation - is a legal requirement and whilst that puts even more work on us it is also opportunity for charities like Ashford Place to build trust with the public, become more resilient and get better value from our data. This week our Board of Trustees attending a “Data Protection 101” - a session to explain why data protection exists, and what changed with the GDPR. This will be followed up next week with a session on “What Trustees’ are responsible for - and what they should ask for”. We will then roll out a similar programme for our staff and volunteers.
