Dementia Friendly Tuesday’s - Including De-Café Ashford Place. Our dementia café is currently meeting online. However, nothing has changed. It is still a great place to socialise, catch up with local news, chat with friends and meet new people. The session is attended by Volunteers, people living with dementia, carers and Ashford Place staff. The group chat about hobbies, share gardening tips and have knitted blankets for a local care home. The group invite guest speakers to tackle raised concerns. For example, financial advice or health issues. We have great IT support for the less technical minded, who is very patient and can usually solve the problem.
We have enjoyed being able to still connect with everyone. But you just cannot beat meeting in person, and we are pleased to announce that the wait is nearly over. We look forward to seeing you all safely very soon.
