This week our dementia team met up – social distanced face to face and zoom – to agree the outcomes and impact we should be focusing on to both record and report to our clients, funders and the wider community. Particularly in these times we need to ensure we are responding to the reality of the lives of people living with dementia and their carers. No one will be surprised that managing your life with dementia can be difficult at any time but more so now with the retraction of services and challenges in engaging with e.g. GPs and other NHS services. Our focus will be to support people living with dementia and their carers to effectively receive the health and wellbeing support they need to manage as best as they can and continue to be viewed as valued and valuable residents in our community.
