We had a very high demand during lockdown for our home cooked meals service. We were delivering meals in a socially distanced way to 100+ people. We had identified many people who were unable to cook, were very unconfident cooks or lived in accommodation without cooking facilities. We had anticipated the need for this service and were lucky to receive ESP funding to support our costs. We have, supported by Waitrose Brent Cross funding, set out to change things for this client group and are offering basic cookery and baking classes. Just a note to let you know we will be using your £2k to help with costs of cookery classes for clients we identified as being unable to cook, be reluctant cooks or living in accommodation without cooking facilities. Cookery classes are also a great wellbeing activity and help form friendships and reduce social isolation. It is going to be fun! Thank you Jerard at Waitrose for your continued support.
