A joint project between SIBI (Social Isolation Brent Initiative), Youth with a Mission YWAM, Capital City Academy and Ashford Place saw a visit by Capital City Academy students Yrs 8-9 this week.
The children had lots of fun as the listened to the views of our clients and equally told them about life at school and as young people living in Brent. The students have gathered stories about the aspirations and worries of older people which they will exhibit later in the year at their school and to which we will be invited so that’s something for our clients to look forward to.’
Originally the idea was initiated by capital city who after gaining funding from the mayor of London approached SIBI to work in the area of social isolation. We were also delighted to welcome members of the Brent Pensioner Forum.
