Supporting Health & Wellbeing
At Ashford Place we work to support the health and wellbeing of individuals and communities across North West London with a particular focus of NW2, NW10 and HA9. As Brent is among the top 15% of the most deprived areas in the country, health and wellbeing within the community is a key area of concern for our charity. Ashford Place offers a variety of group activities, one-to-one sessions, and a welcoming space for open conversation with the intention of increasing awareness of practices for quality nutrition, positive mental health, and healthy lifestyles. Our clients usually face mental health challenges, dementia, homelessness, social isolation, or long-term unemployment (and are 18yrs or older). These challenges often exacerbate poor health and wellbeing and can be a barrier to accessing the support and information needed for a healthy lifestyle. We focus on BAME communities and faith groups who may face further exclusion from health and wellbeing services.
