Christmas friends

19.12.2023

We have come to the end of another year and while it has been a good year for many, for others it has brought up challenges such as physical and mental illness, cost of living concerns, housing challenges to name a few. We continue to help anyone who comes to us with any of these issues to ensure their worries are alleviated and their mental health is not affected or challenged unnecessarily.

Befriending is a big part of keeping our client’s mental and physical wellbeing to a good standard as having people to talk to on a regular basis empowers those who may not normally feel motivated to come to Ashford Place, take part in activities and actively socialise with others.

Those who are not able to attend due to mobility issues also are contacted regularly and always made aware that they are not forgotten and they too have someone they can talk to with any concerns they have. This time of year can be difficult for many as it is a time when we can miss family members who we have lost along the way. It is important for us to keep talking to each other about the good times we have had and being positive about the future.

We’ve been delighted to have seen many new faces come through our doors in 2023. It is what motivates us to keep working hard and reach out to those who need our support. We have seen many positive results and very heart-warming feedback from our clients who say that Ashford Place’s support is unmatched within the community.

We look forward to continuing our work into 2024 and meeting new people along the way.

We wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a happy and healthy 2024.
