Over the past year, we’ve proudly supported not only our visiting clients at Ashford Place but also those unable to join us in person and others in the wider community who’ve discovered our services. Together, we’ve worked to enhance mental and physical health, fostering a culture of wellbeing and support.
At Ashford Place, we emphasise the life-changing benefits of caring for your mental and physical health. When one person embraces these practices, it often sparks conversations within groups, inspiring others to prioritise a happy and healthy lifestyle. Through our wellbeing initiatives, we’re helping reduce visits to GP surgeries and A&E hospital appointments while creating a stronger, healthier community.

Our wellbeing programs are designed to promote positive mental and physical health while building connections. Here’s some of what we offer:
Walking for Wellbeing
#walkcycleldn
Our weekly walking group continues with continued positive feedback and a wealth of friendships being forged. Walking is a guaranteed way to enhance positive mental health and wellbeing. We continue our weekly walking group every Wednesday from Ashford Place at 11am through Gladstone Park. Through this activity friendships are made, exercise is taken in and positive mental health and wellbeing is promoted.
Walking is a simple yet powerful way to boost your mental health, stay active, and enjoy the outdoors.
- Weekly Walks: Every Wednesday at 11 am, we meet at Ashford Place and stroll through Gladstone Park returning to Ashford Palce for a well earned refreshment.. These walks are a chance to exercise, make new friends, and recharge your mind and body.
- Big Walks: On the last Wednesday of each month, we explore exciting new areas. Last month, our group discovered the beauty of Little Venice, a local gem that many of the group hadn’t visited before. This outing sparked plans for future visits with friends and family.
