Much of our work on dementia is about creating a community/society that is welcoming of and accessible to people living with dementia and their carers. Many of us regularly enjoy visiting art and music venues across London and feel able to fully immerse ourselves in these spaces. Not so much for people living with dementia who will have all sorts of anxieties and worries about travelling, remembering, getting home etc. We look forward to our work with RIDC – Research Institute for Disabled Customers and together co-design solutions for fully accessible spaces. RIDC staff visited this week to agree a way of us working together.
