At Ashford Place, we want nothing more than to see clients with a smile on their face after a group session, or laughing with their friends over a game of charades at lunchtime. However, this is just the tip of the iceberg in terms of the support and engagement we offer them, and much of our more important work takes place behind closed doors, in the small meeting rooms dotted around the building, where caseworkers try their hardest to secure much needed benefits and assistance for clients who may have felt ignored or side-lined when applying themselves, or who are unfamiliar with the procedures that need to be followed. From a cup of tea and a biscuit to an approved PIP application, here at Ashford Place we believe that we must strive to provide tailored support to all of our clients, from the seemingly inconsequential to the life-changing, as any and all interactions have the potential to positively impact a client, and hopefully lead to a point where they can enjoy a healthy and fulfilling lifestyle without requiring our services. Our goal is not to provide the illusion of change but to instead see the impacts of our support echo through a client’s life.
